MUSIC— Robert Emmett Dolan  DIRECTOR— Leo McCarey

Surprisingly dreary and forgettable attempt by RKO Studios at a comedy that blends Cary Grant with World War II. Grant, a radio newsman, falls in love with the American wife of an Austrian baron. As baron and baroness tour Europe, certain events cause the fall of specific countries, causing many to believe that the baron is a Nazi spy. Meanwhile, Grant keeps popping up trying to charm the baroness with his usual flair, but in a film such as this it seems way out of place. The film is labeled as a romantic-comedy but what you really get is a war drama with zero laughs and borderline depressing imagery. For Cary Grant freaks only.
