As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker return for more shenanigans in this so-so sequel to the action-comedy hit Rush Hour (1998). Tucker takes a little R&R with Chan in Hong Kong at the worst possible time; an explosion rocks the American Embassy, bringing Chan back to the action along with a reluctant Tucker. They soon discover that the bombing was related to a counterfeiting ring operated by the Triads, one of China’s deadliest criminal organizations. The two unlikely partners may be in over their heads when they team up with an undercover Secret Service agent who may or may not be on the right side of the law. Though not as fresh or as fun as its predecessor, this film does provide modest entertainment. Just ignore Chris Tucker and you’ll be fine.
OUR RATING— ** ½
PRECEDED BY— Rush Hour (1998)
FOLLOWED BY— Rush Hour 3 (2007)
