As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

The Curse of the Mummy’s Tomb
1964  NR  HORROR  1h 18min
CAST— Terence Morgan, Ronald Howard, Fred Clark, Jeanne Roland, George Pastell, Jack Gwillim, Dickie Owen
MUSIC— Carlo Martelli, Franz Reizenstein  DIRECTOR— Michael Carreras

Warning: the next tomb you open may be cursed. This one certainly was. When a team of explorers mount an expedition to dig up a mummy, circa 1900, they never expected to be the brunt of cursed persecution. But some bad mojo is sure to come upon them when a fast-talking PR man decides to market the sarcophagus as a sideshow exhibit. Soon the cloth-clad monster begins his murderous rampage, killing all who had a part in opening his tomb. A cheap Hammer film with zero redeeming qualities, though solid enough to entertain B-movie buffs.
OUR RATING— * ½
