     The Dancing Masters
1943  NR  COMEDY  1h 3min
CAST— Oliver Hardy, Stan Laurel, Trudy Marshall, Robert Bailey, Matt Briggs, Margaret Dumont
MUSIC— Arthur Lange  DIRECTOR— Mal St. Clair

Quickie L&H picture featuring the boys as inept dance school instructors who’ve befriended a pupil whose boyfriend has invented an experimental new weapon. There’s also a subplot about a shady insurance plan the boys have signed on to and Ollie’s scheme to injure Stan to collect upon their policy. The film is really nothing more than a series of vignettes barely held together by the supporting characters. Entertaining if slight. Look for a young Robert Mitchum as an insurance salesman/enforcer.
OUR RATING— **
