As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

     The H-Man
1958  NR  SCIENCE FICTION  1h 27min
CAST— Yumi Shirakawa, Kenji Sahara, Akihiko Hirata, Koreya Senda, Makoto Sato
MUSIC— Masaru Sato  DIRECTOR— Ishirō Honda

One of Toho Studios’ laughable efforts at cashing in on the atomic age paranoia. It seems as if people have been dissolving in the rain on the streets of Tokyo. A strange creature (atomically mutated, of course) has been turning humans into radioactive jelly and it’s up to a squeaky voiced scientist to end its reign of terror. Other plot elements include lounge singers, gangsters, and heroin smuggling (what?). In English dubbed from Japanese.
OUR RATING— *
