As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

George (Star Wars) Lucas presents a massive bomb in this total misfire that tries to blend cynical humor, evil forces and a punker attitude. Sounds like a winner, huh? A total loser from the beginning introduces the cinematic world to Howard the Duck, a beer-drinking, cigar-smoking reader of Playduck magazine. He suddenly gets sucked out of his comfy apartment and blasted down to Earth by an unknown force. He happens upon a punk rocker with a heart of gold with whom he finds shelter. Her ditsy friend introduces them to a brilliant mind who says that he has a laser beam that will send Howard back home. But during an initial test of the laser something goes horribly awry; instead of an object being sent back into space interdimentional monsters begin to invade Earth. And there’s only one bold enough to take on this new menace: a wisecracking, 3’ 2” quack-fu master named Howard. That pretty much does it for this one; if you still wanna take a look you must either be stalking George Lucas or you’re one sick Marvel fanboy.
