As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

POSTER ADVERTISES FILM
AS THE GIANT LEECHES
     Attack of the Giant Leeches
1959  NR  SCIENCE FICTION  1h 2min
CAST— Ken Clark
MUSIC— Alexander Lazlo  DIRECTOR— Bernard L. Kowalski

Oh, no. Run. Run for your lives. The leeches are coming. Oh, my. Yeah, it’s as exciting as that when those pesky parasitic annelids (atomically mutated, of course) slither from the swamp in search of blood. The only thing standing in their way is a Fish and Game Warden, bent on protecting the great state of Florida! Anyway, after assorted misadventures, the hero and titular slipperies have their inevitable little showdown in which only one will come out the victor. Who will it be? Who cares? Yeah, this film really “sucks”, but if you like swamps and you like giant leeches who go around killing people… let’s just say that you need therapy.
