     Man’s Favorite Sport?
1964  NR  COMEDY  2h
CAST— Rock Hudson, Paula Prentiss, John McGiver, Maria Perschey, Roscoe Karns, Charlene Holt
MUSIC— Henry Mancini  DIRECTOR— Howard Hawks

Many American males live and die by the football. To others baseball is the name of the game. But in this story the angle is angling. Rock Hudson plays a sporting goods salesman and purveyor of all manner of advice on fishing. But when a fast-talking publicist (played by Paula Prentiss) insists that he compete in a tournament he may just have to divulge his innermost secret: he doesn’t fish. In fact, he’s never been fishing in his life. But to his utter amazement he begins to catch one fish after another, in some truly unconventional ways, of course. A fine vehicle for the affable Hudson. You’ll fall for this comedy hook, line and sinker.
