As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

     The Hot Chick
2002  PG-13  COMEDY  1h 44min
CAST— Rob Schneider, Anna Faris, Matthew Lawrence, Eric Christian Olsen, Robert Davi, Melora Hardin, Alexandra Holden, Rachel McAdams, Maritza Murray, Tia Mowry, Tamera Mowry, Michael O’Keefe
MUSIC— John Debney  DIRECTOR— Tom Brady

Hot, indeed. Rob Schneider stars in this often raunchy comedy as the hottest girl at the prom. Wait… what? When a pretty but spoiled cheerleader buys a pair of mystical earrings never did she expect what was to come. Small time crook Schneider steals one of the earrings and the next thing you know their personalities are transferred; he becomes her, she becomes him. Now he/she must convince everyone, including his/her boyfriend that he/she is actually a girl, all while trying to find his/her female body. Plenty of laughs, if you’re into stupidity, of course, but no logic or substance. Executive producer Adam Sandler has a funny cameo as a weed happy hippy. Not exactly family fodder due to adult subject matter and crude humor.
OUR RATING— **
