As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

     The Horror of It All
1964  NR  COMEDY  1h 15min
CAST— Pat Boone
MUSIC— Douglas Gamley  DIRECTOR— Terence Fisher

The title says it all. Pat Boone plays an American coming to sweep his British fiancée off her feet… if only he can sweep around her kooky family. Upon his arrival at her ancestral estate family members start to drop like flies; it seems there’s a murderer on the loose. Using lots of oh-so-eerie sight gags and contraptions this seems like the long version of a terribly unfunny rerun of The Addams Family. A waste.
