As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

1969  G  COMEDY  1h 32min
CAST— Jerry Lewis, Peter Lawford, Anne Francis, Pedro Gonzalez-Gonzalez, Jimmy Miller, Kathleen Freeman
MUSIC— Dick Stabile  DIRECTOR— George Marshall

Jerry Lewis returns in a slightly subdued role as a wannabe angler in this lightweight farce. When he learns that he only has one month to live he is encouraged to take the fishing expedition of a lifetime, bilking the credit card companies for all that they’re worth; after all, they can’t sue a dead man, can they? But when he learns that he’ll live after all, he and his doctor cook up an elaborate scheme to get him out of his predicament. But is there more going on here than meets the eye? Strictly a lukewarm comedy, reserved only for Jerry Lewis fans.
OUR RATING— **
