As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

     Mama’s Boy
2007  PG-13  COMEDY  1h 33min
CAST— Jon Heder, Diane Keaton
MUSIC— Mark Mothersbaugh  DIRECTOR— Tim Hamilton

Jeffrey loves his mother. In fact for twenty nine years he hasn’t left her side. Or her house. They live a quiet life of desperation, awaiting an action-packed Friday night full of miniature golf and maybe, just maybe, a Manwich dinner. Oh, yeah, life is full of excitement for these two. That is until she ruins everything by falling in love with an honest-to-goodness man. What is Jeffrey to do? Break apart their union, of course. But it’s not gonna be easy; for every move he makes mama’s new beau counters it. Will Jeffrey succeed in his mission before impending wedding bells begin to ring? More entertaining than you would expect from this type of no-brainer genre. Don’t say you “can’t”.
