Tedious melodrama involving (you guessed it) murder among a troupe of actors. One of the jurors on the panel, Sir John, reluctantly hands in a vote of “guilty” against the actress accused of the crime. But something doesn’t sit right; Sir John begins a one man investigation to prove her innocence. Interesting final scenes but overall dull Hitchcock picture.
