As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

     Murders in the Zoo
1933  NR  DRAMA  1h 6min
CAST— Charlie Ruggles, Lionel Atwill
MUSIC— Rudolph G. Kopp, John Leipold  DIRECTOR— A. Edward Sutherland

Interesting little forgotten chiller. Lionel Atwill collects exotic animals for the local zoo. His wife has a cheatin’ heart. Atwill sees his newly acquired menagerie as an excellent way to take out his wife’s latest love. But when she threatens to spill the beans he has to turn the animals on her, too. Not a bad way to spend an hour, especially if you’re an animal lover.
OUR RATING— ** ½
