As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

1958  NR  SCIENCE FICTION  1h 19min
CAST— John Agar, John Hoyt, June Kenney, Scott Peters

Bet you’re just dying to hear about this one. A neurotic doll-maker creates a high-tech gizmo that shrinks people down to the size of action figures (reminiscent of The Devil-Doll [1936]). To counter his loneliness he enlarges his collection until he captures his headstrong secretary and her fiancée. Big mistake. Or little mistake. This loser boasts nothing more than bloated set-pieces and bloated acting. Highlight: Fiancée takes on life-sized marionette. Tense. AKA I Was a Teenage Doll, Six Inches Tall, The Fantastic Puppet People.
