As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

     Monkey Business
1952  NR  COMEDY  1h 37min
CAST— Ginger Rogers, Cary Grant, Charles Coburn, Marilyn Monroe, Hugh Marlowe
MUSIC— Leigh Harline  DIRECTOR— Howard Hawks

Join Cary Grant and Ginger Rogers for a bit of fun in this classic madcap comedy. Absent-minded professor Grant has cooked up a formula for youthful vigor; or so he thinks. Things really get hopping when a lab ape starts monkeying around with the chemicals, pouring the concoction into the water cooler. After drinking tainted water everyone begins to act as if they’re ten, twenty, even fifty years younger. An all-star cast heads up this winner that’s more fun than a barrel of monkeys. Whatever that means. AKA Howard Hawks' Monkey Business.
OUR RATING— ***
