     Semi-watchable wartime tale that celebrates art and those who honor it. The Nazis have been stealing and stockpiling art of all kinds from museums and private collections across Europe. A group of art scholars get the backing of the United States government to form a squad to investigate and reacquire the art. The mostly aging scholars undergo military training, go behind enemy lines, face danger and death at every turn, and eventually rescue thousands upon thousands of pieces. Never quite as interesting as one might crave but well cast, nevertheless.
