As Seen On Screen

As Seen on Screen offers readers a chance to see film reviews for the everyman, without all of the clutter and nonsense fed to the average filmgoer. Plain, straitforward, to the point. That's our goal. We offer a diverse catalogue of which to choose from, from silent comedies to modern superhero films. Final note: this is a family friendly blog. We only review films rated G through PG-13, plus the unrated films of yesteryear. So if this sounds like your cup of tea, pull up a crumpet and enjoy. Thanks for your support!

     The Big Mouth
1967  NR  COMEDY  1h 47min
CAST— Jerry Lewis, Harold Stone, Susan Bay, Buddy Lester, Del Moore, Paul Lambert
MUSIC— Harry Betts  DIRECTOR— Jerry Lewis

Another standard Jerry Lewis outing, this time dealing with the ol’ mistaken identity bit. When a Lewis lookalike confides in Jerry the vicinity of hidden diamonds, Lewis is off to the location. Meanwhile, murderous thugs connive to steal the hidden jewels from Lewis, if only he would find them. Other elements include romantic interludes with Lewis and his gal pal and an American actor’s horrible impression of an Asian crime boss. Nothing ground-breaking here.
OUR RATING— **
